The URKU token is born from the commitment of the Confederation of the Kayambi People towards its territory and the Andean Sierra to work for a sustainable future, directing all actions and efforts towards the fulfillment of its Sustainable Development Goals.

The project was structured during the first quarter of 2024, from El Ordeño with indigenous communities and government, with the assistance of leaders from six sectors in Ecuador: public, private, community, civil society, academia/media, and investors.
